How the price
is calculated.
A useful number should have a clear explanation. Here’s ours.
We start with new shirts.
We compare new adult fan shirts of the same design and season, with short sleeves and no player name or number. Home, away and third shirts have separate prices. Used and personalised offers are recorded separately for future history. Player versions, modern reissues and children’s shirts are kept separate.
One price for each jersey.
We use the verified new offers available for each design. One retailer is enough to show a price. When several retailers have stock, we take the middle of their representative prices, rounded to the nearest €5. Extra sizes or listings from the same shop do not give it more influence.
A reference, not a promise.
The number describes comparable retailer asking prices. It is not a confirmed sale price or a guaranteed amount you could receive by selling your shirt. Shipping, import charges and individual discounts are excluded. We show ‘Price unavailable’ when there is no verified current new offer. Retailer availability can change before checkout.
History starts with real observations.
Dated observations are retained when dated retailer observations are imported. The public history graph is deferred and its placeholder contains no observed prices or trend. A future graph will show only the history actually recorded, including flat prices and gaps.
Your collection stays in context.
Collection totals use the available references and show how many shirts are priced. Adding a shirt increases the collection total; it does not count as a market gain. An unpriced shirt remains in your collection and is never treated as worth zero.
